About Me

Experience and Counselling Process

Hi, I'm Christina! I am based in Southern Alberta, although all my services are currently offered exclusively virtual, acomodating clients all over Canada. I enjoy spending time outdoors doing activities such as biking and horse riding. I also enjoy creating art and music, and spending time with family and friends.

Seeking help is a hard first step in maintaining your mental health. This step can be nerve-wracking as you figure out what would best help your situation. I am a certified mental health counsellor with experience in providing support and guidance to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. My goal is to help you navigate through your challenges and provide a safe space where you can express yourself freely. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, or other mental health issues, I am here to help you. Let's work together to improve your mental health and overall wellbeing.

As a mental health counsellor, I have worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with various mental health challenges. My experience includes providing counselling and support to individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, and more. I have a client-centered approach and tailor my counselling to meet the unique needs of each individual. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where individuals can work through their challenges and achieve their mental health goals. In my practice I draw from various approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic, along with various others.

What you can expect from a first session with me, starts with gathering some basic history and information from you, going over what brought you to seek therapy, creating together some counselling goals and expectations moving forward, and taking it from there what approach will best fit you and your situation. Psycho education is a large part of my counselling process. Taking questions and putting them into a context that will best relate to you is a priority of mine.

I look forward to connecting and assisting you in your journey!
